Questions about smooth away(please answer if you have used)?

ok, so last night i used smooth away. it worked really great for me. i know alot of other people it really didnt work. but i guess for some people its different. anyways after removing the hair, it was a little red. and it said to put lotion on after. i put it on and wooo it stung so bad. is it supposed to sting? should i not put lotion on after? or what should i do? and a have little tiny red bumps but i dont think its really noticable unless you look really close. but is it normal to gett that after using? please if you have used it, and maybe it worked...can you help me? maybe give me some tips? thanks.
