Please help me with this issue!?!?

I don't see how guessing their reasons for behaving the way they do is going to do anybody any good. They are who they are. See them or don't see them. Let your child see them, or don't. In the grand scheme of things, your relationship with your son, and by extension your relationship to your son's mother, is far more important than this.
