Strange , telepathic connection -?

In my opinion, it can because I had a friend that travels a lot, and we seemed to be linked the same way. Just when one of us was feeling lonely, isolated, and needing a friend, the other would kind of sense it and get in touch to make sure things were ok. For me, even today, though we no longer speak, I get the same feeling...he just pops into my mind out of nowhere and I can't get him out of my head. Until I contact him, and he gets back in touch, I just feel this odd tugging feeling that's hard to explain. So I definitely believe it can happen.
