Should Catholic clergy continue with celibacy?

Especially since it is the cause of so much pain and misery? Surely the incidence of illicit between priests and their parishioners or with nuns, and of course the ual predation of minors would drop if this archaic attitude towards clergy and marriage/uality were dropped. I'm not a Catholic, but I am acutely aware of the fallout that the behaniour by some of these alleged men of God causes.
